Ok, maybe I should have said it differently. Try to keep my posts short and succinct. Maybe a better way to say is this is, "What factors contributed to him reaching the tipping point". What led him to actually act on these terrible desires/thoughts and not just sit and stew about it? The phrase, one so often used by the media, was created using the passive voice. Passive, as if some outside force made him the monster he is today. NO! There is another more likely possibility. This **** was likely born a monster - or became one on his own. He sought out ideologies which would validate his insatiable desire to murder people and gain fame for it.
If he was kidnapped, tortured and brainwashed, then I might agree that "he became radicalized". But, in the absence of such, he's just an F-ing Islamist monster.
